Welcome
Manly 16s is excited to announce the inclusion of the Port Jackson Championship in the 2023-2024 racing schedule which will be held on October 21, 2023.
The “Port Jackson Championship” dates back to 1949/50 when it was run or hosted by the Port Jackson Club who sailed on the main harbour near the Sydney Harbour Bridge and was the first Club that sailed 16ft skiffs. When that Club folded after the 1954/55 season the NSW 16ft Skiff Association organised the event for two seasons and since then Manly 16s agreed to take it over from the 1957/58 season.
The event in recent years has been infrequently run, and we look forward to making it a staple event on our annual calendar.
