Introduction

Learning to sail is an enjoyable and adventurous journey for all kids! Not only is sailing about having fun, but it teaches young kids how to be independent, resilient, and how to work towards achieving their goals. At Manly 16’s, our sailing program is designed to support sailors in their desire to learn, have fun, and experience competitive racing in a welcoming club.

About The Course

Our program is perfectly suited for kids aged 7-12 to learn the basic sailing skills required to crew or steer a small dinghy. Over 13 weeks of Sunday morning sailing, your kids will enjoy a range of activities to learn basic essential knowledge and of course, have FUN! This course is delivered by accredited Australian Sailing Instructors and experienced sailors from the club.

Course Schedule

Our 13-week course will take place on Sunday mornings, between 8:30 AM and 11:00 AM, starting October 28th 2018.

There is a break over the Christmas and New Year holiday period while sailing regattas on Sydney Harbour are underway. The course continues through January and February, before finishing up in March.
